Four names get used as if they mean the same thing. They do not. Here is what changes inside an NFL jersey as you move up the tiers — and the point where it stops being worth it.

EliteThe four tiersThe first question at our counter is almost never about the team. It is about the four names on the tags: Game, Limited, Elite, Replica. They get used interchangeably online, which is exactly why people end up with the wrong one.
So let us separate them properly. A jersey tier is not a quality ranking in the way most shoppers assume. It is a set of decisions about how the name and numbers are attached, how heavy the body is, and how close the cut sits to what players wear on the field. Everything else — the colours, the team, the crest — is the same across all of them.
We stock NFL jerseys for all 32 teams, and we get asked which tier is 'worth it' every single day. The honest answer is that it depends on one thing: whether the jersey is going to be worn forty times a season, or looked at.
The four names, in one sentence each
Game — the lightest build, with printed name and numbers. It is what most fans own first. Limited — the same shape with stitched lettering and a heavier, more structured body. Elite — the closest cut to the on-field garment, and the smallest part of any store. Replica and Throwback — heritage designs, where the era matters more than the build underneath it.

BackGame: the tier almost everyone should buy
The Game build is the widest selection we carry in adult sizes. If you are buying one jersey and you are not sure how often it will be worn, this is the answer we give most often, and we give it for an unglamorous reason: it is the lightest thing we sell.
That matters more than it sounds. A jersey that is comfortable in September is the one that gets worn in December. The heavier builds are nicer objects, but they are nicer objects that more people leave folded up.
Limited: the one you can feel from across a room
The Limited build is the next step up, and it is the one people notice. What you are paying for is stitching: the name and the numbers are sewn rather than printed, and the body has more weight and structure to it.
Is it worth the step up? If the jersey is a gift, or if the person already owns a printed one and wants the next level, yes — the difference is obvious the moment it comes out of the packaging. If it is going to be worn to the gym and thrown in a wash basket, no. Buy the Game build instead.
The name and numbers being stitched is the whole difference. There is no other change to the shape.
Elite: the top of the range is a small shelf
Elite jerseys are the closest cut to what players actually wear, and they are the smallest tier we carry. That is deliberate: out of the whole catalogue, the top of the range is the narrowest part of it, and it is stocked for a specific buyer — usually someone who already knows they want it.
If you are choosing between Elite and a Limited in the right size, we would take the right size every time. Fit beats tier. It is not close.
Replica
ThrowbackReplica and Throwback: heritage lines, defined by era
These two get folded into 'cheap jersey' conversations, and that is a mistake. They are separate lines with separate logic. Replica keeps the classic look in a lighter build; Throwback brings back a design from a past era, and it is defined by that design rather than by a fixed tier.
A Throwback is not a worse jersey. It is a different jersey — one that stays relevant when a player is traded, which for a collector is the entire point.

What is the difference between a Game and a Limited NFL jersey?
The name and numbers. On a Game jersey they are printed and the body is the lightest we carry; on a Limited they are stitched and the body is heavier and more structured. The shape, colours and crest are the same, so the whole difference sits in the lettering and the weight of the garment.
Is an Elite NFL jersey worth the money?
Only if you already know you want the closest cut to the on-field garment. Elite is the narrowest tier we carry, against a Game range that is many times wider, so it is a deliberately small part of the catalogue. If you are choosing between Elite and a correctly fitted Limited, fit wins every time.
What is a Replica NFL jersey?
A heritage line rather than a build tier. Replica keeps the classic look in a lighter build, and Throwback brings back a design from a past era. They sit alongside the Game, Limited and Elite builds rather than inside them, and they are defined by the design rather than the construction.

One thing worth knowing before you decide. The tier names are consistent across every team in the store, so a Limited in one team's colours is the same build as a Limited in another. You are choosing a build, not a team-specific product line.
